Talk show host Markus Lanz and his ZDF colleague Richard David Precht start this Friday (3. September) their new podcast "Lanz Precht". In it they arrange themselves "to the common weekly discussion", as it is called in a message of the ZDF. In the future, the new ZDF podcast will be available every Friday on all common podcast platforms.
Together, Lanz and Precht are entering new territory and will speak to a listening audience "about socially and politically relevant topics of the week and time". In the Podcast it is about the exchange of two people who are "personally fond of each other" but who do not always share the same opinion.
Lanz and Precht break new ground with podcast
Both Markus Lanz with his eponymous program as well as a philosopher and book author Richard David Precht ("Precht") are normally regularly in front of the camera for ZDF talk formats. Precht has also appeared many times as a guest in various talk show formats. Now they are breaking new ground together. They say they hope the podcast format will provide "an intense conversational atmosphere compared to television – without time prere and TV cameras". "It's wonderful not to have to think about anything but your own words," Precht says.
Markus Lanz – How the last shows went
In the podcast, topics could be explored in depth, reflected on and re-evaluated a few days later. "A podcast is, in a positive sense, very reduced, focused and limited to the essentials: the voice," says Lanz. (FMG.)
